To be eligible for consideration by the DCF Committee, the book must be published in the current year and not previously published, it must be written by a living author who is a citizen or resident of the US or Canada, it must be an original piece, and it must have children in grades 4-8 as its intended audience. Fiction, non-fiction, poetry, and short stories (both poetry and short stories must be written by a single author) are all eligible. Please double-check that all eligibility requirements have been met! If you have questions about eligibility, please contact me or a committee member.

Please do not include plot summaries, but feel free to tell the committee why you think this book belongs on the DCF list.
